Information about Gulfstream G650
On March 9, 2008, Gulfstream Aerospace, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, presented a fundamentally new business jet: the Gulfstream G650. The ultra-sized G650 with ultra-long range sets a new standard for both price and business jets.
The G650 has the right to boast record levels of flight range and speed, not to mention the widest cabin in a number of Gulfstream models and the ultra-modern cockpit. It is able to overcome 13,000 km at a speed of M = 0.85 or 9,500 km at a speed of M = 0.90. Thanks to the advanced aerodynamic layout, the G650 has a maximum speed of M = 0.925, which makes it the fastest civil aircraft of our time. The aircraft can climb to a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet (I suggest replacing it with 15,500 m) for flying over air traffic and adverse weather conditions.
The G650 has outstanding comfort. Before mounting the interior, the cabin is 2.59 m wide and 1.95 m high, which makes the cabin the largest among business class aircrafts and creates advantages such as extra space for legs and head, more spacious kitchens, and toilet facilities. , luggage compartments and recreation areas of the crew. The width of the cabin at the floor level, equal to 2.13 m, allows you to install more comfortable seats with an increased aisle between the seats and the possibility of installing three chairs in a row.
Salon G650 is the highest degree of convenience and functionality. A favorable microclimate with a pressure not exceeding 1500 m at flight level FL510 and 1100 m at flight level FL410 reduces flight discomfort and fatigue, maintains good health and promotes productive work, and low noise in the cabin allows you to negotiate with equal comfort and just relax. An advanced air conditioning system ensures almost silent operation. Toilet facilities are ventilated separately. 16 new windows G650 size of 72 to 50 cm are the largest for aircraft of this class and create natural light, visually increasing the already spacious cabin.
The G650 is equipped with a new Rolls-Royce BR725 engine with a takeoff thrust of 16,100 pounds. BR725 engines, produced by Rolls-Royce in Germany, are equipped with a 50-inch fan with 24 swept blades, providing improved air flow through the engine path, increased efficiency, as well as reduced noise and emissions. The G650 consumes as much fuel as much smaller planes.
Thanks to the BR725 combined with a new, highly efficient thrust reversal system and optimized wing aerodynamics, the G650 fully complies with modern certification requirements for the length of the takeoff run, demonstrates excellent take-off and landing characteristics in high altitude and high temperatures, and also provides a record intercontinental range. For example, the G650 can reach 6,370 nautical miles on its way from Dubai to Chicago by 88 minutes faster than any of the existing long-haul aircraft. A flight of 4,788 nautical miles from Los Angeles to London is shortened by 31 minutes, and a 5,932-mile journey from New York to Tokyo is 50 minutes.
Obviously, the fundamentally new flagship Gulfstream G650 aircraft is a unique, high-tech, state-of-the-art air office with characteristics that, undoubtedly, have no equal: record flight range, highest speed and technologically advanced systems.
