Information about Gulfstream G100

Gulfstream 100, also known as G100, is manufactured by the American firm Galaxy Aerospace Corporation. Galaxy, in partnership with General Dynamics (a division of Gulfstream Aerospace) and Israel’s Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI), develops and sells IAI-1125 and IAI-1126 aircraft in the US market.
Development of the new aircraft began in the early 80s, the model was called the 1125 Westwind. The first flight took place on March 19, 1984, the second test of the improved model was conducted in October of the same year. In March 1985, mass production of the Astra model was launched, in August the aircraft was certified, and in the middle of 1986 new liners began to be delivered to customers.

August 16, 1994 made its first flight an upgraded version of the administrative plane IAI-1125 Astra, called the IAI-1125 Astra SPX. The new model was equipped with modern avionics Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 and new engines with the FADEC control system. In June 2001, the aircraft received the designation Gulfstream 100, under which it was presented at the Paris Air Show. In September of the same year, the aircraft received the designation G100.

G100 has a high maneuverability and surpasses all other analogues in the behavior of both large and low speeds. It is equipped with fuel level and flight control systems, as well as back-up hydraulic and electrical systems, which ensures a high level of safety when flying over water. Advantageous difference G100 is the ability to take off from the runway, the length of which is 100-150 m less than other aircraft of this class.

Gulfstream G100 jet aircraft is designed for medium-haul business flights. Unlike long-range aircraft, such as the bombardier global 5000, its maximum range is approximately 5.5 thousand km. Gulfstream G100 has a comfortable cabin for seven seats, operated by two crew members. Equipped with two Honeywell 731-40R turbine engines and the Collins Pro Line 4 electronic control system, the Gulfstream G100 has great maneuverability and has a cruising speed of up to 850 km / h.

Comfortable VIP-cabin G100 – a place where during the flight you can hold business negotiations in a narrow circle, discuss a work plan or just relax, relax in easy chairs. In a small but comfortable cabin, your business partners, friends or your family will comfortably accommodate.

G100 is a convenient version of the aircraft for flights of small groups of 6-8 people over considerable distances, not exceeding 5400 km.
Issue G100 completed in 2006, built 15 aircraft.
