Information about Embraer Phenom 300
Business aircraft EMB-505 Phenom 300, designed by Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer, made its first flight in spring 2008. Refers to the aircraft light class civil aviation. It has high speed and long range. The Phenom 300 uses powerful Pratt & Whitney engines – the PW 535-E, allowing you to fly 3,300km with two pilots and six passengers on board without stopping and refueling.
After just 10 months after rolling out the Phenom 100 ultra-light jet aircraft, Embraer completed the final assembly of the Phenom 300 business jet.
On April 12, 2008, Embraer completed the final assembly of the first Phenom 300 business jet at the Gavio Pexoto plant, where the aircraft was officially rolled out. The company conducted ground tests of a business jet, which will prepare the aircraft for the first flight. In addition, Embraer has already begun assembling the second Phenom 300. According to Luis Carlos Affonso, CEO of Embraer, the Phenom 300, with exceptional comfort, best-in-class performance and low operating costs, will set a new standard in the light business category. -jet The development program Phenom 300 involved more than 400 engineers of the company.
Embraer Phenom 300 offers exceptional comfort, outstanding performance and low running costs, setting a new standard in the category of light business jets. The Phenom 300 single-wing aircraft can carry up to eight passengers at a maximum height of 13,716 meters and a maximum speed of 0.78 Mach. The aircraft is able to cover distances of 3,334 km. with 6 passengers on board, equipped with two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535Es engines with a load of 1,450 kg and Garmin aviation electronics.
The interior of the aircraft, developed by the BMW Designworks USA Group, will offer pilots and passengers comfort previously unknown in its class. The dimensions of the cabin are relatively small: length is 4.9 m, height is 1.5 m and width is 1.55 m, but you can move between the seats almost to full height, since there is a niche in the floor and ceiling that increases the height of the room. A folder with papers, a diary or a handbag to keep on your lap the entire flight, too, do not have to-they can be placed in the niches of the case, located near each seat. Onboard amenities include a recreation center, satellite communications, a wardrobe in the rear of the cabin and a toilet room. With a configuration capable of accommodating up to nine passengers, the Phenom 300 has a huge luggage compartment with a capacity of 2.15 cubic meters, which conveniently transports luggage of passengers, golf bags, skis.
The aircraft is equipped with a fully integrated Garmin 1000 – “Prodigy (R)” avionics package, which offers more advantages than any other avionics kit on the market today. There are three interchangeable 12-inch monitors in the cockpit — two Primary Flight Shows (PFD) and one Multi-Functional (MFD). The system integrates the entire primary flight, navigation, communication, landscape, movement, weather, data of the crew’s emergency alert system. Large flight displays with a matte anti-glare surface not only optimally display the necessary flight information, but also facilitate the work of the pilot.
The Phenom 300 taught certification from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency, from the US Federal Aviation Administration, and from the European Aviation Safety Agency to using Garmin’s Synthetic Vision TechnologyT (SVT) system. This is the first aircraft of this class, equipped with a similar system.
This system using the built-in database and through sophisticated modeling, recreates an additional 3-D image of the terrain. This function is required in difficult weather conditions, and in the dark.
According to Embraer Executive Vice President Luis Carlos Affonso, “This technology provides excellent situational awareness in conditions of limited visibility.”
This system works in conjunction with a collision avoidance system (TCAS) and motion information system (TIS). All objects are displayed in a 3-D perspective, which allows to obtain the most complete and timely information about the situation. All dangerous places and objects are highlighted.
The SVT system is one of the main features of the Prodigy T dashboard. It can be completed and refitted in the shortest possible time.
The Phenom 300 and Phenom 100 compete with other manufacturers in the light and very light segment of business jets. Their distinctive advantages, namely, the size and comfort of the cabin, comfortable cabin for the pilot and high suitability, will make them an excellent choice for personal use, business travel and use as an air taxi. Phenom 300 is estimated at 6.65 million USA.
Phenom 300 aircraft were commissioned in December 2009.
