Information about Dassault Falcon 10

The youngest in the Dassault Mystere / Falcon family of business aviation machines, the Mystere / Falcon 10 aircraft, was created as a faster version of the Mystere / Falcon 20 aircraft. At the 1969 Paris Air Show, the car was introduced as Minifalcon. The wing of the Mystere / Falcon 10 had a greater relative elongation compared to the wing of the Mystere / Falcon 20, which increased its efficiency in flight in cruise mode. Good take-off and landing qualities were provided by advanced wing mechanization – slats on the whole span, ailerons and double-slotted flaps.

The first prototype took to the air on December 1, 1970, it had a power plant of two General Electric CJ610 turbojet engines, but soon the dual-circuit turbojet TFE731 was installed on the aircraft. Six months after the first flight, the prototype set a world record for airspeed on a 1000 km long closed route – 930.4 km / h. And the third prototype in May 1973 set a record, having flown more than 2000 km along a closed route. By mid-1982, more than 200 aircraft were sold, and by the time mass production was completed in 1990, 226 aircraft were delivered, including the latest improved version of the Mystere / Falcon 100. Series 100 aircraft received a flight certificate in December 1986. and had to replace the Falcon 10. They had more weight (maximum take-off and empty), as well as four windows on the right side of the fuselage, a larger luggage compartment and a “glass” cabin.

In addition to corporate transportation, Mystere / Falcon 10 was used for aerial photography, transportation of sick and wounded, as a courier and training. Seven aircraft entered service with the French Navy under the designation Falcon 10MER. Six of them were used as courier and for training pilots at the Super Etendard.
