Information about Bombardier Learjet 45

In 1989, the company “Bombardier Inc.” acquired the Learjet company, and it was decided to further improve the most well-known Learjet aircraft based on the basic design proposed by Bill Peer as early as the 1960s. The Learjet 45 retained the layout of the famous Learjet 31, but in many ways became a completely different plane. The car turned out to be competitive in price. This lightweight business class aircraft with high flight data is designed to carry nine passengers.

The aircraft was first introduced in September 1993 at the NBAA conference in Dallas. The following companies were involved in the project: Shorts from Belfast (designing and building the fuselage) and de Havilland from Toronto (wings). The first flight of the aircraft took place on October 7, 1995. For a number of reasons, the flight test program, which involved five cars, was delayed until the end of 1997.
On September 22, 1997, the aircraft received an FAA certificate and in July 1998, a JAA certificate. The Learjet 45 was also certified by the London airport in October 2004, and received full approval from the Chinese Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC) in January 2005.

The first deliveries of aircraft were launched in July 1998 for the company Hytrol Conveyor of Jonesboro.
Learjet 45 has a classic design and layout. Innovations in the design of the hull of the aircraft are larger stabilizer and steering pedal, elongated engine pylons, modified forms of slats and single flaps flaps.
In the cockpit are 4 screens (two main display for tracking the flight and two multi-function display), built-in avionics Honeywell Primus 1000, and a standard APU.

Reliable AlliedSignal (Honeywell) TFE731 engines were developed in conjunction with the Learjet 45 and Learjet 60 Learjet, with the intention of reducing fuel consumption, maintenance costs and operating costs.
The Learjet 45 is larger than the Learjet 31, but smaller than the Learjet 60. With a height of 1.50m and a width of 1.55m, there is more space in the cabin than on any other aircraft of this class. The cabin is designed for 9 passengers and is designed in such a way as to best accommodate deep double chairs, tables, aisle and a rest room located in the tail section. On each side of the cabin there are 8 wide windows. There is enough space for personal space so that you can relax comfortably during the flight. The cabin is provided with thermal control, noise insulation and one of the best sealing systems of Honeywell. The luggage compartment (1.4m3) is also heated.

The aircraft is able to gain initial altitude in 23 minutes 6 seconds. Cruising speed for the flight of the maximum range – 778 km / h with a maximum altitude of 15,545 m.

By the end of 2000, more than 40 aircraft were produced. Among the civilian aircraft operators are Eurojet Italia, FlyMex, the Government of Montenegro, and others. The military operator is the Air Force of Ireland.
